Early learning that grows with your child.

A boutique long day care and kindergarten program, guided by the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and shaped around the children in each room. Not a curriculum delivered — a curriculum lived.

Our rooms

Three rooms. One thread.

Each room has its own rhythm, suited to the age and developmental stage — but the same commitment runs through all three: small groups, calm environments, and educators who know your child by name.

Room 1
Ages 2.5 – 3.5

Wattle Room

A gentle entry to early learning, where routines are predictable and transitions are supported. Lots of sensory play, language-rich conversation, and room to explore at your child's own pace.

Our approach

Six pillars of a Bright Start day.

The QKLG framework sets the direction; these six pillars are how we bring it to life in our rooms, every single day.

Identity & belonging

Every child feels safe, known, and valued — the foundation for every risk they'll take and every skill they'll build.

Connectedness

Relationships with peers, educators, families and the wider community are nurtured as active learning.

Wellbeing

Physical, emotional and sensory regulation come first. A regulated child is a learning child.

Active learning

Hands-on inquiry, outdoor play, and real materials that invite problem-solving, curiosity and joy.

Communicating

Language-rich environments, visual supports, and many ways to express ideas — including AAC and signing where helpful.

Individualised scaffolding

Each child has a plan that flexes with them — small goals, celebrated often, shared openly with families.

A typical day

Predictable, but never rigid.

A rhythm children can rely on — anchored by predictable transitions, with room to stretch when an idea or interest takes hold.

7:30 – 8:30

Soft arrival

Quiet activities, hellos, and time to settle with a familiar adult. No pressure to join in until ready.

8:30 – 9:00

Morning meeting

A visual schedule preview, group song or story, and a gentle transition to the day's rhythm.

9:00 – 11:00

Indoor/outdoor inquiry

Play-based learning flows across environments. Therapists join the room for embedded support.

11:00 – 11:30

Group time & story

Literacy, numeracy and social learning through stories, music and guided games.

11:30 – 12:30

Lunch & regulation

Shared meals, visual mealtime supports, and a calm wind-down before rest.

12:30 – 2:00

Rest or quiet choice

Rest mats for those who need sleep; quiet activity and sensory nooks for those who don't.

2:00 – 4:30

Afternoon projects

Long-form project work, outdoor play, art studio, and child-led explorations.

4:30 – 5:30

Connection & handover

Calm closing rituals, day-sharing with families, and slow goodbyes.
